Our objectives
The Deed of Trust and Constitution states that “the objects and purposes of the Trust are to advance the education of the public in all aspects of agriculture and farming by providing grants for training and research”.
In this context “agriculture and farming include the relevant sciences and practical crafts involved in farming and land management and also in ancillary trades together with nature conservation”.
The constitution of the Trust permits it to help people entering the industry by awarding grants to students of agriculture and allied subjects.
The Trust may also award grants to enable farmers and others within agriculture to acquire relevant new skills.
The Trust is empowered to grant-aid the education of the general public about the true nature of agriculture and how it can co-exist with nature conservation.
Any special conditions?
The Trust is empowered to grant-aid agricultural research but only that which is capable of yielding practical benefits to farmers during its progress or soon after its completion.
Grants are given in support of people rather than” bricks and mortar” projects.
Funding is available for applicants or projects based in Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire or Essex.
