Each year over 300 students are welcomed and equipped with the diagnostic, medical, surgical and other skills required to succeed in a changing world of veterinary medicine.

Nottingham Veterinary School offers unique dual-intake undergraduate courses, accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS), designed with clinical outcomes in mind, based upon excellence in teaching, and informed by scientific research.

The courses, which integrate clinical medicine and surgery with pathology and basic sciences, ensure that Nottingham graduates gain the best possible foundation on which to build any future career in the veterinary profession.

Research is focused around four main themes: Diagnostics and TherapeuticsOne VirologyTranslational Infection Biology and Ruminant Population Health. Nottingham is ranked 2nd for research power in the latest Research Excellence Framework (REF, 2014), with 80% of submissions being rated at 3* or 4*.
