Worshipful Company of Farmers

Promoting excellence in agriculture through education, debate, and support for industry leadership and innovation.

Worshipful Company of Farmers

The Worshipful Company of Farmers aims to promote farming and encourage excellence within the industry. It supports education and research and facilitates debate and charitable giving. A strong team spirit stems from most members being actively engaged in the farming industry. We seek to achieve high standards in what we do and we do it with enthusiasm, but also appropriate formality. The character and nature of our Company show through at our events

Our close affinity with farming ensures the Company is strongly aligned to the key issues facing the industry today – quality food at affordable prices, global food security, climate change, biodiversity and environmental protection. The Worshipful Company of Farmers is a Livery Company that continues to grow, with some 400 members, of whom more than 300 are Liverymen.

As one of the Seven “Food” Companies, the Farmers Company contributes to the organisation of the City Food Lecture and Reception in the Guildhall, to which Liverymen and wider food industry people are invited

As we provide a wide range of support for the industry through the organisation of courses, travel grants and bursaries to support education at all levels there will be different conditions for each category of support.
