The Stapledon Memorial Trust was established in 1962 as a tribute to the late Sir George Stapledon.
The trust provides awards to both individuals and organisations on all aspects of grassland use, including the production, amenity, social, economic and environmental implications. This includes:
- Fellowships for long and short-term visits
- Short-term awards for recent graduates
- Vacation study awards
- Contribution towards publications
- Support for conferences
The Trust is seeking particularly to focus on activities that benefit the career development of young grassland scientists.
