Innovation for Agriculture works with Agricultural Societies to help farmers make best use of existing and emerging knowledge so that they can:
- meet the challenge of feeding the world
- improve the environment and animal welfare
- create fulfilling opportunities for current and future generations.
IfA relies on charitable donations from the agrifood sector to deliver the knowledge transfer onto farms with its team of six – and working alongside 16 agricultural societies. The Elizabeth Creak Charitable Trust and Weston Garfield Foundation were central to the set up of the IfA; support from charities across the sector now totals more than £1m.
