Clan Trust was set up in the 1960s by Robert Alston of Witton, Norfolk leaving his farm, land and capital with the aim of helping farmers and their communities in Norfolk and its’ surrounding counties.
We are a Norfolk-based charity supporting young farmers, the promotion of agricultural education, research and science in agriculture, and outreach for the elderly and those in need amongst the rural community. The Clan Trust was instrumental in setting up the mental health charity YANA, now an independent and successful charity in its own right.
The Trust operates for the benefit of the farming and rural community in the widest sense. And through recent substantial bequests of farmland seeks to encourage new entrants in to farming. The Trustees welcome approaches by email from individuals and organisations who may consider that the Trust can assist them.
