The University of Bristol School of Veterinary Sciences has been training veterinary surgeons for over 50 years. It is highly rated in both teaching and research activities and has excellent links with the veterinary profession as well as the agricultural industry. Located on a rural campus at Langford, 14 miles south of Bristol, the Langford Estate, together with its farm (Wyndhurst), occupies 105 hectares.
The Bristol School of Veterinary Sciences undertakes teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, provides CPD and residencies for Clinical Training Scholars, and has an extensive research programme in a number of key areas. The School also provides first opinion and specialist clinical veterinary services, specialist animal behavioural referrals, and comprehensive veterinary pathology services.
We offer three undergraduate degrees and one taught Masters programme, with postgraduate research opportunities and certificate-level courses also available. All are delivered by academics who publish research regularly and share their cutting-edge research activity through their teaching.
Our research is focused on two themes aligned with cross-cutting critical mass across the University of Bristol. The themes are: Population Health and Global Food Security.
